Ben Appl is a sculptor living and working in Austin, Texas. He received his BFA from the University of Arizona and his MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. He creates large-scale installation and Public Art works that are about the relationship between industry and nature.
Ben is also an instructor of art and over the past 20 years he has taught classes such as 3-Dimensional Design, Sculpture, and Ceramics at Texas State University in San Marcos, The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College. Currently you will find him in the Sculpture Studio at Austin Community College’s Highland Campus.
